services
pelvic health
We work extensively with women experiencing pelvic floor related conditions such as stress or urge urinary incontinence, faecal incontinence, chronic constipation, bladder/bowel/uterine prolapse, pelvic pain and sexual pain. We know these conditions can be difficult to talk about so we pride ourselves on our welcoming and inclusive space whilst treating you with the utmost respect and dignity.
prenatal
Pregnancy and childbirth can be physically demanding on your body. Our physiotherapists can help you build a deeper understanding of your pelvic floor health and prepare for either vaginal or caesarean section births.
We also aim to keep you pain-free, safe and strong throughout each trimester by assessing any aches and pains and modifying exercise as needed.
postnatal
Whether you are a first time mum, or have had previous children, every woman should have a post-natal assessment to be educated about how to activate your pelvic floor correctly and how to prevent common postnatal conditions.
We support new mums with a 6 week postpartum pelvic floor check up and common issues including scar tissue management, childbirth injuries, including perineal tears, urinary stress and incontinence, prolapses, DRAM and mastitis.
oncology services
Physiotherapy plays an important role in oncology rehabilitation. We offer both physiotherapy services and exercise classes to support people in managing treatment-related changes and optimising pelvic health during and after cancer treatment.
Depending on your diagnosis, we commonly support with issues such as fatigue-management, pelvic pain, scar management and sexual health concerns.
pilates + clinical exercise
At Embrace, we offer 1:1 or 4:1 clinical exercise classes that are tailored to your specific needs. Be that prenatal, postnatal, pelvic health or general rehabilitation related.
These classes are run in a dynamic format, and involve the reformer, to help promote mindful movement that enhances your health outcomes.
