pregnancy, mums & general rehabilitation classes

Our pregnancy exercise classes are suitable for expecting mums, with a range of exercises focused on strengthening your body throughout the demands of pregnancy, in preparation for birth and ultimately also for postnatal recovery. 

This class also has a focus on pelvic floor activation, which is individualised to you based on whether you have a more overactive or underactive musculature. Any aches and pains, such as pelvic girdle pain or rib pain, is able to be accommodated for within class and we have specialised wedges to allow you to safely recline on the reformer without being completely horizontal. As you are within a clinical space, these classes are also suitable at any stage of an uncomplicated pregnancy up until birth. 

Please note that these classes may also have mums and general rehabilitative clients in them for which we adjust our exercise selection individually. 

If you’re a new client to Embrace Physio + Pilates, you must book an initial assessment before commencing exercise classes with us.

For prenatal clients, please book an initial pregnancy appointment (60 minutes) or otherwise an initial clinical exercise assessment (pilates) appointment (30 minutes).
