During this telehealth consultation, we can discuss any concerns you may have, such as:
How to prepare your body for a vaginal or planned cesarean birth
What your pelvic floor muscles are and the important role they play
Bladder, bowel or sexual health challenges
Safe exercise in pregnancy and prevention of abdominal separation
Lower back or hip pain
Expect a brief insight into your condition, take home advice, and guidance on the most suitable practitioner and treatment plan for further therapy. The purpose of this telehealth session is to help you feel more comfortable discussing your pelvic health in a confidential and supportive environment, and to begin supporting your pregnancy journey with expert individualised advice.
Once booked, our senior physio will call you at the allocated time, complete the consultation and can assist with booking further appointments as needed.

We offer individualised 4:1 clinical pilates classes for women who are pregnant or postpartum. During pregnancy, we focus on strengthening your body through the demands of each stage, preparing you for birth and setting you up for recovery. After birth, we rebuild your strength for daily activities, returning to exercise and address the common aches and pains of the postnatal period.
All classes are run by our pelvic health physios and use matwork and reformer pilates, small equipment, weights and mindfulness techniques to help you feel strong and capable within your body.

Pregnancy and childbirth are physically demanding on your body. We support you through each trimester with pregnancy related conditions and help reduce potential risks associated with both vaginal and caesarean births. We also prepare you for birth so you feel confident and ready, and support your postnatal recovery.

Vaginal birth preparation to reduce tearing
Planned cesarean birth preparation and recovery
Perineal massage appointments
Abdominal separation prevention and recovery
Management for rib, pelvic girdle and lower back pain
Whether you are a first time mum, or have had previous children, every woman should have a postnatal assessment to be educated about how to activate your pelvic floor correctly and how to prevent common postnatal injuries.

6 Week postpartum checks

Perineal/cesarean scar mobilisation
Blocked ducts and mastitis treatment
Prolapse or incontinence management, including pessary fittings
Management of wrist and hand pain (DeQuervain’s)
