return to running
exercise classes
Our Return to Running class is specifically designed for those who are postpartum or recovering from injury, and want a safe and confident comeback to running.
This is a more advanced class, ideal for women looking to build the capacity to return to running (or other high-impact exercise) injury-free. Each class is tailored to your individual needs and includes pelvic floor and abdominal rehabilitation alongside targeted strengthening for the ankles, knees, and hips to support the demands of running. Expect a greater difficulty of movements, heavier weights and the inclusion of running specific drills and high impact exercise, such as use of the reformer jumpboard.
The class was designed and is led by our pelvic physiotherapist, Zali, who is incredibly passionate about helping women return to high-impact movement with confidence and care. These sessions are best suited to those who have already developed foundational strength in our pregnancy, mums and bubs, or general postnatal classes, and have been cleared by their pelvic health physiotherapist.
If you’re a new client to Embrace Physio + Pilates, you must book an initial assessment before commencing exercise classes with us.
For postnatal clients, please book an initial postpartum appointment (60 minutes) or otherwise an initial clinical exercise assessment (pilates) appointment (30 minutes) prior to starting these classes.
